Spring, at last and with a new season, the employment market begins to show signs of a shift as our temp and contract desk starts to grow after chugging along for what has been a long, strong perm job market. HR Daily’s article also heralds a change and urges HR leaders to at least prepare for a slowdown with many economic pundits predicting Australia having between a 20-25% chance of recession within the next 12 months

This past week saw our annual staff conference come around again for a very timely opportunity to ensure that as a recruitment business we are well positioned for change.  We tabled a number of key topics including a possible shift from a perm strong market to a temp strong market. As an agile organisation we are well prepared to meet the needs of a growing temporary market by ensuring that we have a ready stable of Temp Professionals across multiple disciplines. Temp ready means fully interviewed, assessed, tested, reference, police and if need be, Working With Children checked, available and ready to go.

We also recognised the amazing depth of experience shared across a team, all of whom have significant recruitment experience across both temp and perm. We are talking some 35 years+ experience!! This depth of experience enables us to genuinely partner with our clients and candidates to ensure the best outcome for all. We are definitely not transactional, preferring a more holistic, strategic approach to the way we work with our preferred clients and candidates. We tend to find the talent that others cannot. We recognise potential and understand transferable skills. It’s little wonder we think of ourselves as unicorn hunters much of the time! 

So its onwards and upwards for another year as we help our clients find the right talent and help our talent find the right organisation.
